The U.S. Department of Energy has determined that the amended energy conservation standards for residential dishwashers would result in significant conservation of energy, and are technologically feasible and economically justified.

The list of health claims, other than those referring to children's development and health, is set out in the Annex to this Regulation.

The new law includes sections on warranties, false advertising, and packaging.

The Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) Interagency Testing Committee has added several categories of chemicals to the TSCA high priority testing list, including cadmium compounds, non-phthalate plasticizers, phosphate ester flame retardants, brominated flame retardants, diisocyanates, and nine chemicals to which children living near hazardous waste sites may be exposed.

The proposed NC Toxic-Free Kids Act proposes that no manufacturer, wholesaler or retailer may manufacture, sell, or distribute a children's product containing bisphenol A, phthalates, or TRIS.

This Resolution approves regulations protecting consumer rights and establishes employment and budget limits for consumer protection. 

The U.S. Department of Energy proposes to incorporate by reference the ASME/ANSI standards to replace older versions currently referenced by the Department of energy in its test procedure.
