European Union issues new regulation regarding child car seats

The "I-size Regulation" mandates rear-facing child seats for children up to 15 months of age, whereas the current regulation, ECE R 44, allows for child restraints to be turned forward-facing as young as 6 months. ANEC is pushing the World Forum for the Harmonization of Vehicle Regulations to implement the "I-size Regulation" in January 2013.

The study of a total of 30 fabrics were analyzed and found triclosan, triclocarban and silver, which are considered hazards because they do not degrade or break down slowly and may accumulate in the environment.
