Bureau Veritas purchases are the operating purchases, the purchases related to testing laboratories and to the subcontractors.
The objective of the Purchasing Department is to support Bureau Veritas strategies on both financial and non-financial ambitions. Our mission is to implement cost effective and innovative solutions with sustainable suppliers. The role of the suppliers is key to supporting our ambitions to Shaping Better Business Practices.
A Responsible Purchasing
Bureau Veritas Responsible Purchasing goes beyond the local regulations and industry norms. Bureau Veritas wants its suppliers to be transparent, commit to continuous improvement and contribute to creating sustainable value for the Group. These principles apply to the supply chain and are an integral part of the general purchasing terms and conditions and set in the Business Partner Code of Conduct (BPCC).
Supplier Relationship Management Program
Bureau Veritas is constantly seeking companies able to support the Group's ambitions. Bureau Veritas has designed a dedicated program for strategic suppliers to create an environment of trust and to promote innovation while developing responsible purchasing. Therefore, Bureau Veritas requires its suppliers to:
- Sign the Declaration of Compliance of the Business Partner Code of Conduct
- Comply with Bureau Veritas Terms and Conditions of purchase
- And for strategic suppliers, at the country level, conduct and send a self-assessment questionnaire
