ACTIVITIES OF AN INDEPENDENT RAILWAY BODY

Bureau Veritas Italia carries out OIF activities in line with the contents of the ANSF Decrees n.01/2019 and n.03/2019.


SCENARIO

Starting from May 2019, through Legislative Decrees 50 and 57 of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, the railway legislative framework has been characterized by substantial updates regarding the national and European network.

In addition, the "Isolated Network" profile has been defined and with it the figure of the Independent Railway Body (OIF), recognized by ANSF/ANSFISA, for carrying out tasks relating to railway safety, such as carrying out conformity assessments and process, laboratory qualifications, execution of tests, in the relevant authorization processes based on national standards not subject to notification, also through the stipulation of specific agreements with the single national accreditation body, referred to in Article 4 of the law 23 July 2009, n. 99 (art. 3, Legislative Decree no. 50/2019).


SOLUTION

By the skills appropriately verified by ANSF/ANSFISA as per the ANSF Decree of 05/21/2020, Bureau Veritas Italia also adds that of Independent Railway Body (OIF) to its portfolio of qualifications

In line with the contents of the ANSF Decrees n.01/2019 and n.03/2019, Bureau Veritas Italia carries out OIF activities for the following subsystems:

- Control - Command and Signaling on the ground
- Control - Command and Signaling of on board
- Rolling stock
- Maintenance
- Traffic operation and management
- ECM certification of railway vehicles
