BV HAS COMMITTED TO HEED TO RESPONSIBLY COVERING ONE-YEAR EXPENSE OF INDIVIDUALS WITH MENTAL HEALTH CONDITIONS

HEED INDIA (Health Education, Environment and Development of India) is located in Trichy and works for individuals with mental health conditions. They run Kangaroo Home for them.

NEED OF THE PROJECT
The poor parents are unaware of caring for mental health conditions in children/youth. Hence, they are isolated, ignored, and considered a burden at home and in society. Such abandoned youth need full rehabilitation, which is managed by HEED through Kangaroo Home.

PROJECT SCOPE 
Currently, in Kangaroo Home, 38 individuals with mental health conditions are housed with nutritious food, clothing, medical care, and psychiatric counselling services through qualified counsellors. Out of 38, moderately recovered persons are involved in envelope making, parcel cover making, plastic wire bag making, and incense stick packing. In addition, more than 70% of recovered persons from psychiatric disabilities are placed in suitable placements, which will allow them to reunite with their families.

Bureau Veritas has committed to HEED to take care of the One-Year expense of such 50 individuals with mental health conditions in Kangaroo Home. The project is part of our gender equality and inclusion goal.
