BUREAU VERITAS INDIA CONDUCTS AWARENESS PROGRAMME ON ISO 17025 AT RESEARCH AND CONTROL LAB OF SAIL – BHILAI STEEL PLANT

Research and control lab of SAIL – Bhilai Steel Plant at Raipur recently organized Awareness Training Programme on ISO 17025 (Batch I and II). It was a four day internal auditor training programme scheduled from July 19^th to 24^th, 2021 and was inaugurated by Anjani Kumar, ED (W), Bhilai Steel Plant. All the senior associated from Bhilai Steel plant were a part of the inauguration ceremony.

All the sessions were conducted by Mr. Jishnu Pratim Chattopadhyay, National Lab Quality Manager at Bureau Veritas managing quality of 30 odd laboratories across the country as well as laboratories in Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.

To reach out customers in a better way and to standardise its process and products in domestic as well as international market, Bhilai Steel Plant is stepping ahead towards excellence by planning to get NABL Accreditation. Currently the Research and Control lab of SAIL has ISO 9000 Certification (Quality System Management). The NABL Accreditation will provide formal recognition of technical competence of the Lab, thus providing a ready means for customers to find reliable testing services in order to meet their demands as well as the quality system.
