Technical Workshop on GHG Accounting ISO 14064:2018 - Classroom Training
OBJECTIVES
This International standard is expected to; benefit entities, governments, project proponents and stakeholders worldwide by providing clarity and consistency for; quantifying, monitoring, reporting and; verifying greenhouse gases.
Specifically, this standard will:
- Enhance the environmental integrity of GHG quantification;
- Enhance the credibility, consistency, and transparency of GHG quantification, monitoring and reporting, including GHG project emission reductions and removal enhancements;
- Facilitate the development and implementation of organization GHG management strategies and plans;
- Facilitate the development and implementation of GHG projects;
- Allow entities to track performance and progress in the reduction of GHG emissions and/or increase in GHG removals;
- Assisting in the identification of GHG risks or liabilities;
- Increase investor confidence;
- Facilitate the crediting and trade of GHG emission reductions or removal enhancements.
WHO THE COURSE IS FOR?
- Science / Engineering graduates.
- Knowledge of ISO 14001 standard will be an added advantage.
